Chef Deji Oduwole will show you how to make delicious Spanish dishes such as Ensalada de Pulpo (a cold octopus salad with a mélange of different meats and produce). We will also make a Baby Calamari, Garlic and Parsley Appetizer, and another Spanish favourite, Safron Paella (a mix of mussels, clams, pork, fresh produce and rice). And finally, Crema Catalan (a Crème Brûlée-style dessert spiced with orange peels and cinnamon sticks). These recipes will incorporate Longo’s imported Spanish products. They will have your taste buds doing the Flamenco!

(2) Spanish Cooking (Interactive)

Chef Nicholas, just returning from two months in Europe where he spent eight days in Valencia on Spain’s southeastern coast and another four in Malaga on Spain’s Costa del Sol, has brought back recipes and cooking styles of chefs of the area and their passion and love of food. He will be cooking hands-on with you, making Spanish food that you can experience and cook with your friends and family. His class will include a 30-minute demonstration with great humour and then you will divide into teams where you will prepare and cook a meal consisting of Green Gazpacho Soup, Valencian Paella, Empanadas, Spanish Tortillas, Zarangollo, and for dessert, Churros.

(3) Holiday Appetizers from Spain (Interactive)

The holiday season is here! Join Chef Larissa and learn how to make delicious Spanish tapas and appetizers that will wow your guests! This class features some of the classics from the Spanish tapas repertoire: Gambas al Ajillo (delicious garlic shrimp), Jamón Serrano con Espárragos (serrano ham with asparagus), Tortilla Española, the famous Spanish potato omelette, and Pimientos Asados (roasted peppers). Learn how you can prepare most of these dishes ahead of time, so when your guests arrive all you will have to do is enjoy!
