Did you know that…?
British Columbia has 5 ¨appellation of origin¨ wines, each one representing a different geographical area: Okanagan Valley, Similkameen Valley, Fraser Valley, Vancouver Island, Gulf Islands. However, it´s in Okanagan Valley where 95% of the province wine is produced.
Spain ranks in 8th place in wine imports for British Columbia, in terms of volume, with an increase of more than 8% during the last five years.
British Columbia shares the podium with the provinces of Quebec and Ontario, as being the third most important province in terms of imports of Spanish wines.
At the Trade Commission of Spain (@SpainFoodWineCA), we aim to support sales in this province, not only by participating in events such as the Vancouver International Wine Festival, where seven Spanish wineries took part, but also by carrying out our own promotions.
