Natra is one of the leaders in Europe in the chocolate segment, and is committed to extending its foothold into other parts of the world
Spanish multinational Natra recently reported some very favorable news: its factory in London, Canada (Ontario) has started production right on schedule. The staff totals 14 at the moment and is expected to increase to 56 by 2015 year-end.
These new facilities have a production capacity of 12,000 tons, of which 50% is expected to be used in the first two years. Several products will be manufactured at these new installations, with the company beginning with hazelnut and chocolate spreads. The factory is expected to be fully operational by next June and BRC certified by the end of May. BRC Global Standards is a safety and quality certification program used by over 20,000 suppliers in 90 countries.
Natra expects to gradually produce items in other categories at its Canada factory as new contracts are signed, while ensuring sustainable capital expenditure at all times.
Natra is one of the leading companies in Europe in the chocolate product segment, including tablets, countlines, cocoa power and butter, chocolate coating, and spreads, which are sold throughout the continent, primarily in Belgium, France, the Netherlands, Germany, the UK and Spain.
